Some updated pics

Last night we were finally able to stay at our house! Besides the stupid neighbor's dog barking at 5am, it was exciting!
Here's some pics of what everything looked like as of last night.

The Living room:
Living room Living room
It's kind of a mess right now because it's one of the few places we're able to "live" in LOL Still unpacking stuff in here too, of course.

The Kitchen:
Kitchen!
The breakfast nook, completely crammed full of boxes of our kitchen stuff. We don't have anywhere to put it all until chase finishes the cabinets.
Kitchen!
The fridge just dwarves everthing... geez

Hall bath:

Here's the bathroom with the colour I don't like. It doesn't look so bad in this pic, but it's a bright pastel green, I want something a little more subdued. As I said before, we went ahead and did one coat of this, and we'll use it as a base for another green.

Chase's office:

I like the colour he picked out. Still needs another coat.

Not much difference, just trying to get that dang wallpaper off!

Four Days of Work...

Here's some of the in-progress photos we got going on right now.

My office, getting primered:
Primering my office
It took 3 coats to cover up that red. And the primer wasn't properly mixed, started to thicken-up and acted weird the first round. Thanks to that I have some "interesting" texture on my wall... no big deal to me!
Since then it's almost finished! It needs one more coat of paint.

Cat, primering Chase's office:
Cath hard at work Oops
First coat of Chase's light-blue paint is up, currently.

Goodbye, Mustard-Ketchup

It's slightly more primered up now, not yet painted.

Hall bath, post-wallpaper:

I've painted it green. Except I hate the green! I'm really not happy with it. It's too pastel-y. I went a head and did one coat, as a base to put a better green on top of it.

Tiling the kitchen:
Tiling More tiling
Nana and Kristie, tiling like crazy! covering up those ugly off-white and pink tiles!

Chase cutting tiles
Chase cutting tiles. Ignore the fact it's break time in the background. They worked hard!

Kitchen!
Kitchen - goodbye magenta red!
It's getting there!! Since this pic the tiling is 90% done, the walls are finished.
Chase is painting our cabinets to go with the darker wood table we have. Once it's all finished I think it will be v. pretty. We also got all new hardware (brushed nickel instead of brass) and new light switch/power outlet covers (no more off white). Also, that light is going away (it's the exact same light they had in our apartment that we hated! LMAO)

FRIDGE-ZILLA!
FRIDGE-ZILLA!
Our GIGANTIC fridge that got delivered this afternoon. LOL it's HUGE! But it's awesome.
(and boy the walls look overly blue in this pic. They are not THAT blue!)

The House

Well we finally have a project to post about.

We are moving into our new (and first!) house! Lots of little touch-ups and changes to finish... let's just say the previous owner's taste was not quite in line with ours. Not mind-numbingly horrible, but definitely needs a few upgrades.

Here's a little tour of the house as it was when we bought it.

The Master bedroom:
Master bedroom
The bedroom has two doors leading from it, one to the master bathroom, and one to a 4th bedroom/"nursery" (which will be my office/sewing room.)
It's not a bad brown. We wanted it red, though.

The "infamous" magenta-red kitchen:

My office:

It's a pretty red, I really like it, but too dark for my sewing room.

Chase's office:

Another colour I liked all right, but Chase wanted something lighter.

Prop/Guest room:
The Mustard Ketchup Room
3 bright yellow walls, and one dark red. Huh? Nana started calling it "The Mustard Ketchup Room."

The Hall bath:

Some wallpaper to be removed.

More wallpaper to be removed.

And my fav...

Here we go!! :)
